The Monthlies is a Project Naked initiative to collect sanitary products for homeless and low-income people in and around the Edinburgh area. Every month (or as often as we can!) we’ll set up a table at a community space in Edinburgh and collect donations.
Every person who needs sanitary products should have access to them. Periods can be rough and sanitary products are costly. We want to collect and donate as much as possible, so no one needs to worry about that time of the month.
Next Dates –
SUNDAYS 9-11am – Feb 5th / April 2nd / June 4th
MONDAYS 4-6pm – March 6th / May 8th / July 3rd
Please pop in during these times – please do not drop off donations out with these times!! If you cannot make it during these times then contact us and we can arrange to meet you to collect the items.
What to donate?
We collect unopened packets of sanitary pads, pantyliners, tampons, baby wipes, mooncups, and underwear. We also accept cash donations, which we will use to buy products to donate. We don’t have a preference for brands, just whatever you’re able to bring. If you’re able to afford to donate multiple packs, it would be great if you could bring a variety.
Where can I find you?
We’ll be at different spaces and events across Edinburgh. Follow Project_Naked on Instagram or twitter, or check this page to find out when and where the next Monthlies collection is happening.
Can I get involved?
YES! Absolutely. If you would like to host a Monthlies table at your event or if you’d like to set up your own Monthlies table, please get in touch. We’re also looking for volunteers to (wo)man our tables. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
